Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or reactions.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and mental health to the nurse or supervisor.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients' dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
- Implement behavior management techniques as directed by the nurse or supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Knowledge of ADLs and experience providing personal care to individuals with varying needs.
- Familiarity with medication administration systems and ability to follow prescribed protocols.
- Basic first aid skills and knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
